What will you bring?
To be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A qualified chef with at least 3 years’ experience in high quality hospitality venues
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and service peers
- Strong experience in event catering, café, restaurants and/or banqueting operations
- Drive innovation, follow and adopt culinary trends
- Demonstrated leadership and experience in being part of professional kitchen team
- Exceptional team leading qualities and experience
- Ability to operate as a Food Safety Supervisor
- Experience in delivering an upmarket café food offer
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day production and assisting with oversight of all food produced and served.
- Production of a range of contemporary cuisines and service styles including buffets, formal dinners and cocktail parties.
- Ensuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativity
- Recruiting, inducting, and training staff as required
- Assisting with the management of staffing requirements and rosters
- Follows company procedures and policy when handling employee grievances or undertaking disciplinary actions.
- Stock Management – ordering & replenishing stock
- Supervises and co-ordinates kitchen
- Brief staff daily on all aspects of food service
- Work according to safe work procedures, effectively maintained
- Maintain compliance for both customer and Trippas White Group
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Proven and successful background in kitchen and team management
- A focus on providing excellent contemporary food!
- Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplines
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other ordering systems
Qualifications:
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current Food Handler's Certificate
- Current AFP Police Check
