The role:
We are seeking a full time Accounts Coordinator to support our operational team at Taronga Zoo, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will be responsible for the reconciliation of accounts, both internal and external, and reporting on daily, weekly and monthly financial systems. The position plays a key role in the business, liaising with both Head Office and the Client, driving the business integrity and financial accuracy. Our support office is based in Sydney CBD and the role provides flexible working hours.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and receipts
- Reconcile daily sales, vouchers, bank accounts, and statements
- Support the month-end close process by preparing and providing accruals, reversals, revenue, exclusions, and monthly invoice reports within strict deadlines
- Process supplier invoices and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in finance systems prior to month-end close
- Raise and process monthly invoices and ensure revenue is accurately recognised
- Assisting with end of month reporting for food & beverage ensuring accuracy of our cost of goods and stock values
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2-3 years in an Accounts environment, preferably in hospitality
- Experience with Point of Sale systems
- Hold a relevant degree/qualification in hospitality/tourism/catering
- Hospitality background with food & beverage knowledge essential
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and commit to, and execute tasks
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to develop and grow across multiple system platforms
